More March Pictures

Here are the last of the March pictures-most of them are from St. Louis. Elizabeth and Ryan are growing up so fast! Elizabeth will be 3 this summer! Her favorite things to do are go to the park and play with her puzzles (especially her letter puzzle-she will tell you all the letters of the alphabet and say something that starts with each letter). Ryan is trying very hard to keep up with his big sister. He will be 17 months in April. He says so many words now and even says some 2 word phrases. He has become Mr. Independent and likes to do things by himself- "mine!", "me, me!" or "no, down!".

That's the last of our visit to St.Louis! We had so much fun visiting all the grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

Elizabeth and Ryan saw this snake statue (the eggs are not real-they're part of the statue) and were trying so hard to pull the eggs up.
Here we are at the children's zoo-Elizabeth and Ryan were making food for the animals in the play kitchen. Below are the otters at the children's zoo-Ryan was too interested in them to look at the camera.

The St. Louis Zoo

We went to St. Louis over spring break in March. The kids' favorite thing was riding the train.

They loved the penguins! We were so close to them that we could have touched them if we reached our hand out.

I forget what animal we were looking at but whatever it was Ryan loved it!

February pictures

Here are some random pictures from February-most from Valentine's Day. We got the kids heart shaped balloons and they went crazy over them. Ryan kept saying "boon". He talks so much now!

Elizabeth started sleeping in a "big girl" bed last December. She's really good about staying in it but this one day during her nap she crawled halfway out of her room and fell asleep in her doorway.

Here we are playing around on another gorgeous Austin day-January and 75 degrees! There's a random picture of Elizabeth sleeping in her bed-I didn't mean to put it in the mix with these pictures but now that it's uploaded I don't want to take it out :)

Christmas

We went over to Nancy's to make Christmas cookies. To both Elizabeth and Katie, making cookies meant licking the batter. We celebrated Christmas in Austin for the first time this year and while we missed St.Louis it was nice not to travel. Then we said goodbye :( to Nancy, Dean, Sarah, Emily and Katie-they're off to Belgium for the next year or so.

December

Here are some pictures of the kids decorating the Christmas tree. Elizabeth hung the ornaments up and helped set out the nativity scene-she wanted to know the names of everyone in the nativity scene and will now bring us different figures and say "Here's the wise men" or "Here's Baby Jesus". Ryan loves the lights on the tree but isn't quite old enough to understand everything.





Tom's mom and sister came in town. We went to the Oasis for lunch and there was a big Santa figure that Elizabeth thought was pretty cool-it was gorgeous outside-I can't believe we were eating outside in December!
